Common questions

A song will not play. EarMatch needs a connection to stream previews. If the card says “No internet”, check your Wi-Fi or mobile data. The odd song has no preview available in your country — skip it and the next one will play.

Can I use EarMatch without Apple Music? Yes. Everything works without it: swiping, searching, saving, playlists and trophies. An Apple Music subscription only adds artist photos, better recommendations, and adding your liked songs straight to your library.

How do I get my songs into Spotify? Open Saved, choose a playlist, tap Export and pick Spotify. It will show you how to move them across with the free TuneMyMusic website, which takes about a minute.

The songs are not my taste. Open Settings from the profile button and choose “Reset what EarMatch learned”. That clears everything learned from your swipes and starts again, and keeps all your liked songs. Skipping the same artist three times also stops them appearing.

How do I delete my account? Open Friends, tap the gear icon and choose Delete account. Everything stored on our servers is removed straight away. If you never used Friends, you have no account — deleting the app removes everything.
